Eye Exam in Castle Rock, CO

Just like an annual physical or annual dental exam, regular eye exams can spot problems early and keep you in good shape. Often, people with developing vision or eye health problems won't experience any symptoms or notice any signs. A regular eye exam can catch issues before they become serious problems.

Who Should Have an Eye Exam?

The American Optometric Association recommends that adults between 18 and 65 have an eye exam every two years and that school-age children and people over 65 have an exam every year.  People with vision concerns should also make an annual eye exam appointment. At The Meadows Family Eye Care we also offer diabetic eye exams to test for diabetic retinopathy.

Tests Performed During Eye Exams

When many people picture an eye exam, they think of reading letters or numbers off of a wall chart. This test is called a visual acuity test, and it is part of a standard eye exam. However, it's not the only test you'll have. Your exam will also test how eyes respond to light, how well they track movement, how well they see color, and how well they can perceive depth.
